tickets were 50 dollars for a non-major event. 10 dollars for parking per day. That doesn't cover food. So 70 dollars before food? Meals on the strip are obviously overpriced. I live in Vegas, and I can tell you this is a huge factor. Locals have been alienated from the strip because they don't bring in enough cash for the casinos.
On top of that, it's an isolated tournament. There's no other games being played. There's no side events promised. Esports events are fun to attend only when you feel like you're getting a deal - not getting ripped off.
