James "hazed" Cobb will play for CLG in the North American closed qualifier for ESL One New York, the organisation has announced.
The 28-year-old will be filling in for Kenneth "koosta" Suen, who, according to CLG, is unable to compete in the qualifier due to "family reasons".
James "hazed" Cobb is currently assessing his options after leaving OpTic earlier this month. Initially hired as a coach, he was moved to the starting line-up following Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski's departure, attending the ECS Season 3 finals, the PGL Major Krakow Main Qualifier and ESL One Cologne with the team.
He is no stranger to CLG, having donned the organisation's colours for nearly two years, during which the team most notably reached the playoffs of the MLG Columbus Major.
Eight teams will take part in the ESL One New York qualifier, which will take place this weekend, with the winner booking their spot at the $250,000 event.
