SK Gaming cerrará sus divisiones de CS Female Y CSS para el 2011 y concentrará sus esfuerzos para el próximo año en menos equipos.
SK Gaming's Player manager Timothy "merusame" Ellersiek issued the following statement:
"Another year has come to an end for SK Gaming. As this might come to a surprise for everyone we have decided to shut down our Counter-Strike female section and also not to continue with our Counter-Strike:source division.
The main reason for closing our female team was the unstable chemistry within the roster. Unfortunately the best female CS players in the world didn't find a way to smooth some issues out resulted in a domino effect which lead to various other problems. After weeks of heavy thinking we came to the conclusion that we would rather cease our activities in the female counter-strike world as being the best team ever than trying to build a new team that might not be able follow in the footsteps of our previous team.
Similar reasons regarding the chemistry within the CSS team were partially the cause of discontinuing our Source division as well. A couple of months ago we decided to delve into the source scene and pick up an extremely skilled CSS team and add them to the roster of the SK Gaming clan. This team indeed proved that they belonged to the best teams throughout Germany. However this extremely skilled lineup unfortunately disbanded internally after a frustrating EPS 17 finals where the boys didn't find their grip in order to play their A-game. Furthermore we didn't find a fundament for 2011 in which both parties would have been happy to continue a healthy relationship.
I want to thank both teams heavily for all of their efforts and achievements within and for SK and wish you all best of luck for you and your future lineups.
Stay tuned for further annoucements regarding SK Gamings teams and players shortly!"
