He comprado varios suplementos por Amazon, y ahora leyendo un comentario en reddit ya me ha dado el chunguele
El post en cuestión que me ha rayado
DO NOT BUY SUPPLEMENTS ON AMAZON
A quick search on google about Amazon’s counterfeit problem will do more good for your health than any vitamin can ever do. Counterfeits items on Amazon are especially a problem with supplants, over the counter medicine like Tylenol, personal products and makeup. Some investigations have shown 6 of 10 are fake.
Also, don’t think you can avoid this by not buying items sold by third party sellers and only buying items that are “Shipped AND Sold by Amazon” Amazon “commingles” products in all their warehouse. You can google that term for more info but it simply means that in the warehouse there’s one container for each particular product(not multiple), so all the bottles of Amazons inventory is mixed in with all the inventory of every third party seller. So you whatever you buy is impossible to know if it’s real.
And regarding your particular purchase, Vitamins made by Amazons brand, in this case it may actually avoid the counterfeit problem as well as the commingling problem because they don’t have any or allow any third party sellers. So no counterfeits get to the warehouse.
However, this raises the third concern with vitamins and supplements: authenticity, purity and strength. There are lots of reports and studies that show big problems with supplements sold at Walgreens, CVS, GNC and other well known and well intending drug stores and retailers. This includes the popular brands they sell and their own branded line. These products routinely are shown to not contain the ingredient on the label, contain ingredients not on the label and/or show a strength or dose that’s incorrect from the label.
These items are sourced cheaply and sold cheaply and they aren’t routinely tested for authenticity to confirm it’s the exact nutrient or plant species. They also aren’t routinely tested for purity and can contain unintended ingredients which are sometimes harmless and sometimes unhealthy. And they aren’t tested for strength so the dosage and milligrams on the label is often in correct and sometimes by several hundred % .
All this is due to the nature of cheap prices and the global supply chains that all the ingredients and components of most products come from.
The solution I’ve found is only buying what are referred to as “Pharmaceutical Grade” or “”Doctor Trusted Brands”. These are companies that specifically source all there ingredients with authenticity and purity as the most important factor not price and speed. They test every batch of raw ingredients. For authenticity, purity and strength. They batch test every completed product but most importantly they go further in have third-party independent testing of their products to confirm all this.
Yes, These products are more expensive but I know what I’m getting. I’d rather spend $25 on something that’s 100% authentic and no impurities then spend $10 or $12 on a product which I have a 50% chance of it being what it says it is.
I learned all this because of thyroid and autoimmune issues that wasn’t getting much better. And when I dug into vitamins and diet this came up along the way and I dug into it further because it seemed obvious to me all of it would be a waste of time, effort and money if I’m just going to buy something unreliable. I mean how would I even know if it’s effective or not. It could be some other ingredient or a lack of the needed ingredient. Or maybe it’s 500% higher does than the label says. With data: garbage in=garbage out. I will say definitively I noticed a difference after taking these supplements(mostly vitamin d, zinc, probiotics and adrenal supplements like Ashwaga
Obviously, don’t buy these Pharmaceutical grade brands on Amazon because they can obviously be counterfeited. Buy them directly from the manufactures website or from Manufacturer Authorized distributors only. The authorized supplier that I buy most of my products from is here linked as a referral link which I’d be grateful if you used if you found anything I’ve written useful.

Also, here a few source for of each of the three issues I pointed out: counterfeits, commingling and authenticity/purity of major brands. But there are dozens of reports on these. Commingling takes a little more digging because it’s not a particular subject most people even care about or come into contact or awareness of.

Luego he leído otro que desde 2024 amazon obliga a verificar los productos, pero esto es en USA, y en Europa se hace algo?
Amazon changed its dietary supplement policy on April 2, 2024. Now companies must have their products tested by a third party and show proof of this testing. This applies to supplements for weight management, bodybuilding, sports nutrition, and sexual enhancement.
