According to several sources, The Cut Scene is reporting that Sony are set to unveil a new motion-sensing controller, perhaps as soon as E3 next month.

The controller - which reportedly uses "small LEDs" and a "small webcam" to track the players' movement - is apparently similar in function to the Wii Remote, though because it can register "different color lights and the shape and angle of each light", it will be more accurate.

Of course, this isn't the first time we've heard rumours of a new motion-sensing controller from Sony.

According to The Cut Scene's sources, this controller is a close match in function, if not in form, to the one described in this patent, though from the sounds of it it's also making use of technology found in this one as well.

E3, for reference, is only a month away.

Microsoft says that it will "completely transform how people think about home entertainment" at this year's E3. A newly rumored motion controller that detects "fully body" movement may be what the company has planned.

According to a report from Engadget, citing an anonymous tipster claiming to have knowledge of Microsoft's Xbox 360 plans, says that a new Wii-like sensor bar for the console can offer motion control minus the actual controller. Players will "kick, punch, duck, dive, jump and so forth with [their] body" and even be able to perform more precise controls like hand gestures for "pinching, grabbing and scrolling."

According to Engadget's source, the introduction of the controller will also introduce video conferencing, smart detection, and will be used in online trivia games, with players clapping to "buzz in." Could they be referring to Microsoft's free online video game version of the 1 Vs. 100 game show? Could that be why the Xbox Live Primetime service was delayed until this year?

Microsoft's been heavily rumored to be exploring the use of motion control, but appeared to be pursuing more traditional efforts based on previous reports.

While Engadget's grainy image is obviously suspicious in nature, we've heard from other sources that the information is mostly legit. With E3 now just a few weeks away, we'd expect speculation (and leaks) to reach a fever pitch by mid-month.

When contacted for comment, Microsoft reps said "We do not comment on rumors and speculation."

Joder que ganas, la cosa esta interesante xD. La putada es que me piya aun en la residencia, y con la conexion de carton que tengo aqui igual no puedo ver las conferencias por streaming . Pero bueno supongo que como siempre ireis comentando y poniendolo todo por aqui.

Estoy seguro al 100% que cuando acabe el E3 y se hagan listas de los mejores juegos del E3 Bayonetta estará en todas ellas.

Tanta detección de movimiento y tanta pollada... ¿Y para cuando unas gafas 3D (de las nuevas a ser posible) con las consolas? Porque eso lleva anunciado desde los 80 y todavía no lo he visto.
