"MLG has announced more details about the upcoming $15.000 tournament, with the LAN finals taking place at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. This is the debut for DotA 2 in MLG Pro Circuit, that forges one of the most prestigious tournaments in North America.
MLG 2013 Pro Circuit advances this fall with the Major League Gaming Invitational, featuring tournaments for Call of Duty : Black Ops and for the first time, DotA 2. The DotA 2 competition offers a massive $15.000 prize pool, one of the highest in North America, excluding The International that takes place on USA soil.
The tournament consists of two phases, the offline and online phase. The online phase will feature eight teams, with three squads receiving a direct invite and five squads qualifying through the Open Qualifier on August 31. The eight participants of the MLG 2013 NA League will battle from the 4th to 30th of September, and only four will advance to the LAN play-offs. The offline finals will take place at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, and will last two days - 18-19 October."
