CGMagazine - Cody Orme - 8.5 / 10.0

While Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse feels a little too similar at times, it’s one of the tightest JRPGs on the 3DS.

Cubed3 - Nikola Suprak - 7 / 10

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse is sort of a weird game in that it is both undeniably great and a little bit disappointing at the same time. It is a poor spot to jump into for newbies and yet returning veterans might be a disappointed by how much the game repeats itself. While it might not be the best Shin Megami Tensei title out there, it is still very enjoyable from start to finish. Boasting an interesting (if a bit convoluted) story, and addictive combat system, and more demons than you can shake an evil stick at, there is plenty to sink your teeth into here. There is just a great balance of depth and accessibility here, and hunting and fusing demons is great, addictive fun. It might not be doing much to reinvent the Shin Megami Tensei formula, but then again, it didn't really need to.

Destructoid - Chris Carter - 8.5 / 10.0

Atlus has been going strong for over 30 years and they have no sign of stopping. This would have been a cash-in almost anywhere else, but here, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse was shown the level of love and care most would give aggressively marketed new IPs. It's still no Nocturne, but it'll do.

DualShockers - Kenneth Richardson - 8.5 / 10.0

The various gameplay components combine to make this into a satisfyingly addictive title that you can and will sink dozens of hours into. Whether it was witnessing the dark and compelling story and events, devastating enemies with my unique demon and skill combinations, exploring the varied dystopian setting, fusing better demons, completing side quests or customizing my character’s apps, skills and appearance, I was always engaged while playing this game.

It doesn’t improve on SMTIV in many fundamental ways but it doesn’t need to; Atlus is wise enough to not try to fix what isn’t broken. This one is sure to please series fans.

GameSpot - Heidi Kemps - 9 / 10

This all-new adventure in the Shin Megami Tensei IV universe ranks among the best games for the 3DS.

Gaming Gamma - Mankoto - 9 / 10.0

When Atlus said they wanted to make this the best RPG on the 3DS they absolutely meant it. This is easily in the upper-echelon of that genre on the platform.

GamingBolt - Pramath - 9 / 10.0

Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse is an incredible game, and in just about every way, the definitive Shin Megami Tensei experience.

GBAtemp - Krista Noren - 9 / 10.0

Boasting top-notch writing, visuals, and gameplay, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse is one of the 3DS' finest titles and an experience well worth your time.

God is a Geek - Mikhail Madnani - 9.5 / 10.0

This is the pinnacle of the franchise in almost every way and a worthy successor to Shin Megami Tensei with fantastic combat, exploration, and story.

Hey Poor Player - Kenny McKee - 5 / 5.0

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse offers the full package not only in terms of 3DS games, but when it terms of JRPGs in their entirety. Armageddon may be something that you would normally want to avoid, but I can guarantee that this is the one end-of-the-world event that you’ll want to be in the very center of.

High-Def Digest - Sophia Edwards - 5 / 5 stars

One of the best games on the 3DS has been bested with 'Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse ', and the result is an exciting, smart, and amazingly complex RPG. I can't think of a game I've enjoyed this much in 2016, and I'm already looking forward to diving back into this again in the near future. While it's worth playing its predecessor before diving into this, Atlus has done a good job of ensuring that the game stands on its own perfectly, making it accessible even to series newcomers. For those who like JRPGs in the slightest, 'SMTIVA' is absolutely worth playing.

Nintendo Enthusiast - Elia Pales - 8.5 / 10.0

Those that are looking to dive back into an SMT title with an expanded story and don’t mind retreading familiar ground will surely find a lot of recognizable fun in Apocalypse. For those that never played the original title, Apocalypse isn’t a bad place to start. However, considering how good of a game SMT IV is, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go back and play the original release instead.

RPG Site - Josh Torres - 9 / 10

With a new cast and story, Apocalypse is a thoughtful follow-up that succeeds in fixing problems that plagued the foundations of its prequel.

TechRaptor - Jeff Pannell - 8.5 / 10.0

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse is one of the absolute best JRPGS for the Nintendo 3DS this year. It improves upon SMT4's systems in definitive ways while addressing many of the nagging issues that served to hold its predecessor back.

Twinfinite - Hayes Madsen - 4.5 / 5.0

Apocalypse is a game that can easily stand on its own, even if you haven’t played the original Shin Megami Tensei IV. Of course, having played the original will give you more context and understanding of the world and its different characters and factions.

USgamer - Jeremy Parish - No Verdict

Overall, though, Apocalypse amounts to more of the same; for the most part, that's a good thing indeed. It's a meaty, involving role-playing game, filled with MegaTen standards and adding its own refinements. While its story does lose much of its predecessor's sense of uniqueness, there's something to be said for its lean, get-to-the-point setup.

Aún no hay fecha oficial para Europa pero en Norteamérica estará disponible a partir del próximo día 20 de este mismo mes. Recordatorio de que tenemos hilo oficial del juego en el subforo cortesía de Power.
