La prensa especializada ya ha emitido veredicto sobre la última entrega del agente 47 y parece que IO Interactive cierra con nota la trilogía del mundo de los asesinatos.

Pese a los nuevos gadgets y desafíos que buscan darle a la acción un soplo de aire fresco, Hitman 3 se siente como un juego tremendamente continuista con todo lo que ello implica. Todo lo bueno que ha acompañado al Agente 47 durante estos años sigue ahí, por lo que los fans de la serie disfrutarán del nuevo trabajo de IO Interactive, y no se pueden obviar las mejoras gráficas o la apuesta por la realidad virtual en PlayStation. Así mismo, y aunque es algo que no ha sido nunca tradicional en la serie, en lo personal hubiera apreciado también un mayor esfuerzo en términos narrativos para este final de trilogía.

El último servicio de Hitman en esta trilogía World of Assassination es una culminación de grandes ideas que IO Interactive ha ido añadiendo con el paso de las entregas. Un colofón excelente que presenta escenarios mucho más trabajados en líneas generales (con un par de salvedades) en los que se consiguen asesinatos de lo más ingeniosos, dignos del Agente 47. Presenta solamente un par de novedades jugables, a las que tampoco se saca demasiado partido, pero el hecho de ser un hub donde jugar y rejugar todos los escenarios de la trilogía (a falta de pulir el sistema de importación de niveles anteriores) es un plus como para quedarnos con Hitman 3 como la entrega definitiva de la serie.

Es indudable la calidad de Hitman 3. Los escenarios que acompañan a esta entrega se dividen entre la experimentación y la línea tradicional marcada desde 2016. Dartmoor y Berlin sobresalen por lo primero. Son niveles arriesgados, que ofrecen otro punto de vista igual de válido que el resto. Mendoza, Chongqin y Dubai te introducen en la típica caja de arena de inicio a fin, lo cual no quiere decir que sea malo, ni mucho menos, solo que no logran sorprender como el otro dúo. Madurar la fórmula conlleva un precio a pagar. No hay novedades jugables de peso. La fórmula se aleja de los riesgos para proponer lo que sabe hacer bien, pero ni el smartphone ni los atajos lo sacuden a los mandos. Los veteranos encontrarán la experiencia de calidad que recibieron en el resto de la trilogía. Solo nos queda pensar qué hubiera ocurrido al ampliar los márgenes de tiempo entre las entregas. Como, por ejemplo, en los contratos de intensificación, escasos de lanzamiento. En cualquier caso, Hitman 3 ofrece la plataforma definitiva del mundo del asesinato. Eso sí, si tienes el resto.

No evoluciona demasiado, pero es una buena entrega para despedir, por ahora, al agente 47.

Add to that the same freedom to approach a hit that the series is famous for, as well as ensuring every playground looks absolutely stunning and its clear that even without good friends, Agent 47 really does find the perfect blend.
