Echo Fox, the premier esports organization, is making seismic moves with the bold signing of five, top-tier pros who will massively transform its League of Legends, Challenger team. Helping to lock in this roster is talent management house Everyday Influencers, who manage Imaqtpie, Dyrus and Scarra. The new players each have major brand recognition and followings from the gaming and livestreaming community. The combined social reach of the entire team (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Twitch) is a staggering 7.8 million.

Dyrus is among those chomping at the bit.

Dyrus expects “a different kind of team” from this group. “A bunch of washedup former pros are going to come in and win the Challenger series for Echo Fox. We’re going to play hard but we’re going to have more fun than anyone else.”
Teaming with seasoned, legacy players like Imaqtpie is a big part of the equation according to Jace Hall, CEO
of Echo Fox, the esports entity of private equity firm Vision Venture Partners. “You don’t lose your ability to be a great gamer over time, and you definitely don’t lose your passion,” Hall said. “These guys have all those qualities along with the X factor of being exceptionally entertaining, proven by their massive experience with Twitch.”

Bueno bueno las risas aseguradas, espero que sea todo cierto y considero que es una gran idea por parte de EF, al fin y al cabo si se mantienen fuera de relegations como el split pasado tienen el spot asegurado mientras este equipo les ayudará a crecer su marca y un boosteo de fans.
En cualquier caso me jugaría los meñiques a que Riot plantea una expansión de equipos tanto en NA como en EU así que de una forma u otra mantendrán el spot lo que a medio plazo es un win/win.
Y que leches los espectadores salimos ganando, los highlights y memes que pueden salir serán muy épicos.
Para los que se preocupan de los entrenos, el equipo de LCS va a entrenar con el roster anterior que tenía su academia y no con los 5 mataos estos.
Y respecto a lo de la plaza de CS, en caso de descender este split pero conseguir convertirse en franquicia para el split que viene, tendrían igualmente asegurada la plaza para su propia academia en la futura liga de academias. Al fichar a estos jugadores para el último split de CS, te aseguras muchos puntos respecto al sistema de valoración de Riot para decidir quien consigue la franquicia, por lo que igualmente sigue siendo un buen movimiento.
