Top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in will be staying with Afreeca Freecs for 3 more years.
Afreeca announced on their official social media that they have re-signed Kiin to their roster. Having been regarded as one of the best top laners within the LCK during the last season, many have wondered what direction Kiin will take this offseason. Now that the organization has managed to keep their star player, it is likely the team will build a roster around Kiin.
Afreeca Freecs has rebuilt its roster at the end of 2018, opting to go for a team of young talents for this season. Having finished in 5th place in the Summer split, they were able to participate in the Regional Qualifiers, where they were defeated by Kingzone DragonX. Having shown potential during the entirety of the season, it is to be seen whether the team will keep their roster or chose to revamp once more.
