G2 ESPORTS APPOINTS FORMER ADIDAS, MICROSOFT AND ACTIVISION EXECUTIVE PETER MUCHA AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
We are excited to announce that Peter Mucha will be joining our senior executive team as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Peter will be tasked with managing and strategically growing G2 Esports operations worldwide, including leading the integration of a successful operational structure, defining and implementing business growth strategies, and leading the global operational teams that are crucial to the all-around success of G2. Peter will be joining G2 Esports’ executive team currently formed by the Founder and CEO Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, and Co-Owner Jens Hilgers.
This landmark hire further demonstrates G2 Esports’ commitment to maintaining the leadership position as the fastest growing esports organization in Europe and beyond. With close to 30 years of professional experience, Mucha brings a diverse set of skills to G2 Esports that includes team building, organizational development, digital transformation, process optimization and revenue generation. Leading the search for G2 Esports new COO was Chris Jordan of SRi, the global boutique search partner servicing the rapidly converging industries of media, content, technology and sport.
Mucha joins G2 Esports from the Symanto Group where he led the business through its start-up phase, built the strategic vision and managed both the growth and internationalization of the business and its brand. Previously, Mucha held senior positions with Adidas, Microsoft, Universal Music and Activision where he was integral in building and shaping complex organizations that were fit for purpose and primed for new revenue generation. Mucha also has more than 15 years of experience in digitalization processes and data asset management across an array of industries including retail, traditional sports, gaming and entertainment.
