Venia aquí yo buscando info del nuevo disco de Opeth y he visto que no había tema así que me he lanzado a crearlo.

Pues si señores, nuevo disco del nuestro Gigante sueco del Death Metal en sus inicios y Prog Rock en sus últimos tiempos. Y con este ya llevamos 12.

Otro disco que según dicen sigue la senda de Heritage y Pale Communion y se adentra más todavia en el Rock Progresivo.

El disco saldra a la venta el 30 de septiembre de 2016

Declaraciones sobre el disco de Mikael Åkerfeldt:

“The new album »Sorceress« is our 12th studio album since our beginnings in 1990. I find it difficult to understand that we’ve been going on for 26 years, let alone that we’ve made 12 records now, all of which I am very proud of. ”Sorceress” is no exception. I love this album, as does the whole band. I wrote the music during 5–6 months and we spent only 12 days recording it at Rockfield studios in Wales. I find that once again we’ve taken a step forward. Or sideways, Or backwards. Somewhere!? It’s different! It’s extremely diverse. And if I may say so myself, extremely good. I feel the right to say that since I like to think I know this band better than anyone on the planet. Also, I always manage to detach myself from the record and listen as a fan. It’s a fine little record. My favorite in our discography right now. Of course. That’s how it should be, right? It’s both fresh and old, both progressive and rehashed. Heavy and calm. Just the way we like it. Hopefully there’ll be others around the globe sharing this opinion. It was a joy to make it. A fucking joy to record it, and a sheer joy listening to it. So there you have it!”.

No había oido el segundo. Ya no habrá un Ghost Reveries o un Blackwater Park pero eso es lo que los hace especiales, y que no sea una banda que precisamente se estanque dentro de su género, kudos.

Una pena, mira que me mola bastante el rock progresivo pero me parece su peor de lejos.

Muchísimo mejor que Pale Communion imo. Me gusta más el rollito que tiene este disco que el de los dos anteriores. Es como más tranquilote pero tiene un tono muy oscuro y se mezcla con cosillas que no habían tocado antes.

Era, Chrysalis, Sorceress II y los tres singles son una maravilla.

Pffff no me gusta una mierda el camino que han tomado... El Heritage ya era un disco flojisimo y el Pale Comunion lo peor. Y piensan seguir por ahi. Con lo guay que les quedo el Damnation + Deliverance. DEP

Lo mejor que han sacado en su nueva etapa. Ligeramente mejor que Pale Communion y a años luz de Heritage.
