OpTic's great form at the end of 2016 changed swiftly as the team entered the new year, with Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's departure starting a long period of instability for the North American side.
Playing out a whole season with standins and trial players took it's tool and ended with Will "RUSH" Wierzba and Tarik "tarik" Celik departing to Cloud9, leaving OpTic with just Óscar "mixwell" Cañellas, Keith "NAF" Markovic and the newly signed coach Chet "ImAPet" Singh.
As the player break is coming to an end and the second season of the year is about to kick off, OpTic have unveiled three new players: Emil "Magisk" Reif, Adam "friberg" Friberg and Aleksi "allu" Jalli.
With this change, OpTic have made the switch from a North American based roster to an international one, with all of their players now hailing from Europe.
The team's fifth member hasn't been officially announced yet, with NAF revealing that he will be standing in for the first week of ESL Pro League—after which OpTic is expected to reveal their last player.
