Los panchitos son los bolivianos, peruanos, ecuatorianos, mexicanos, etc... Los argentinos son caucasicos, como los españoles.
Es mas, nosotros somos mas moros q ellos. Tambien tienen ciudades como buenos aires que nada tienen que envidiar a madrid o barcelona.

En serio, el racismo inherente que destiláis los peninsulares a veces llega a unos límites que me da asco.
Y encima hipócrita, claro, porque de entrada todos los que no sean de España o son panchitos o son africanos o son moros o son guiris de sandalias con calcetines, pero luego sois los primeros en decir que España es una mierda.

Mira yo soy de mallorca y me considero Norte africano jaja, pero vamos, que hay un grueso de las canarias que forma parte de lo que yo llamo " la embajada de sudamerica" es un hecho, el reggaeton estaba en canarias mucho antes que en el resto de españa, las expresiones... oye, que yo tengo familia en maspalomas o como se llame y amigos canarios por aqui y teneis una manera muy especial de hablar, igual que los mallorquines si nos comparas con los catalanes. Pero no todos los canarios sois iguales.
Y yo ahora tengo que aguantar a un capullo canario que es tonto por como es y ademas va usando las expresiones canarias aqui para diferenciarse o yo que se, pero hace el ridiculo. ( ridiculo por que lleva años aqui y sabe que aqui no entendemos esas expresiones)

I've just read this article via "Africa no es un país" and I'm afraid I have to disagree with you.
I am a British citizen of Chinese descent who has lived in the UK, Taiwan, the USA, and I'm been living in Madrid since 2001, and to be really sincere, the only country where I've felt that I'm totally integrated with the locals in Spain.
FIrst, I think it is unfair to compare Spanish society with the USA, France or UK because these 3 latter countries have been receiving immigrants since the 19th century, and in Spain, up until the late 1990s, there were almost no foreigners here, and the average Spaniard had never even been abroad either. As for anyone who has never left his hometown, ignorance towards outsiders is completely "normal". I could imagine that if you travelled to any village or provincial city in China, people would be just the same, or even worse.
When I first arrived here, there were still relatively few foreigners, and as an East-Asian-looking person, people would often stare at me on the streets, and when I went travelling across Galicia by bus, strangers would strike up conversations with me. I didn't take most of this behaviour as anything offensive, in fact, I found it rather entertaining.
Of course, I was asked many stupid questions, such as "do Chinese people see as well as westerners with their eyes so small?" but again, it's mostly a child-like innocence rather than an offensive remark.
On the whole, I found it Spanish society very welcoming, and in Madrid I've made a group of close friends that have almost become like my family, and most of them are native Spanish. Currently, I am living with my Spanish girlfriend and her family has accepted me without any problems.
Quite often, you might hear strong comments, but it's just a way that Spaniards have to express themselves. For example, once I heard a Spanish girl speak badly about Peruvian immigrants "wrecking her neighbourhood", and guess what? She later married a Peruvian!
From the late 1990s and 2010, Spain received a large wave of immigrants, and as expected, to many locals who have never had any contacts with foreigners in their lives, it was a change that is difficult to adjust to.
Very often I overheard comments from my work colleagues complaining about their neighbourhood has been "overtaken" by Latin Americans, Moroccans, Chinese, and Rumanians, but on the whole, I have never encountered any hostility directed at me personally.
And surprisingly, most immigrants have managed to integrate rather well in Spanish society, especially among the young. If you take a walk around any working class neighbourhood in Madrid such as Carabanchel, Vallecas o Latina, you see a growing number of interracial couples, especially between Spaniards and Latin Americans. If you look at teenagers, you'd realise that there barely is any racial segregation.
Regarding treatment of black people, I have 3 black friends where. One of them is French, the other 2 are from Senegal and Guinea Bissau. All of them tell me that the only time they've ever encountered racism was with the police and the administration, but most people of the streets have treated them rather well, and all of them are in relationship with Spaniards.
Regarding denying the Moorish past, it depends a bit deal of the ideology of the individual in question. In general, right-winged Spaniards and practicing Catholics are more reluctant to admit to the Moorish heritage, but left-winged, more liberal Spaniards have no problem admitting to it, and in fact, many take pride in it. It all depends who you speak to.
