Lo de Diretide ha sido la tumba de Dota para cualquier sponsor que este interesado en el juego. ¿Una comunidad que por cualquier tonteria (un evento que nunca se anunció) puede hacer que tu marca acaba enterrada? No gracias, no voy a meter dinero allí.

Paradojico que haya sido la propia comunidad de Dota 2 la que haya enterrado su juego y dado la victoria de facto a League of Legends.

Muy lamentable los kids del dota, tienen una lolitis de libro.

Hey LoL Community! I'm coming from the misterious Land of DotA2 and i'm here to tell you why you can be proud of having Riot as developer for your game. Here's my short story why im jealous of you guys:

I don't know what's going on at Valve. Maybe there is a new Marketing Dude who is actually working for EA with the mission to drag Valve under but who knows. The only thing i know is that Valve can't move on like this. Wasn't DotA2 intended for the new area of eSports? For a new age, where eSports is getting bigger and bigger in the whole world? How comes that there is not even a real Website or Community Forums for such a big project? There are a lot of Fan Forums and the typical steam game forums but seriously, where is that community feeling...

Well, now lets take a look at Riot. They have a very cool Website, Forums, Champion Spotlights, awesome cinematics, Summoner Showcases where Riot shows everyone what the Community has created this month, an active facebook and twtter page, good support and so much more. We could say, League of Legends is a place where you feel comfortable becaue you know you are being accepted by the devs. Now lets take a look at Valve. They have a DotA2 Website in the form of a news blog, no real forums, no place where the community can gather and share their thoughts and other stuff. An almost dead Facebook and Twitter Page and of course the fact that Valve is not even endeavored to go into the community. No content updates or statements since 4 months. There is a poll in the DotA2 Developer Forums with the question "Are you happy?". Guess what, more than 80% of the DotA2 Community is unhappy. And that's probably the reason why Valve will never reach what LoL already has. More than 60 Million happy players. Since it seems to be impossible to reach Valve, even when we are spamming their eMail inbox, the forums, reddit and other websites, the community started giving negative user scores at metacritics with the hope to reach someone at valve.

I know a lot of LoL Players who are saying that it's out of the question that DotA2 is the better game(i know it's matter of taste at last). So, why don't they switch to DotA2 then? Because Riot gives them reasons to stay. And Valve is currently not capable to do the same. If you don't gonna change this, Valve will lose thousands, if not millions of players within the next months. So prepare for a rush hehe. I'm also about to switch the game, but i'd like to wait at last one more week.
