Hey everyone,
First off, we're announcing that we need to push out our Closed Beta out from October 2014 to Dec 2014 at the earliest. Right now, we will hit Alpha (Feature Complete) by Nov 2014. There's a few reasons why we need to do this:
Originally, we planned to only have a total of 100+ collectible Battle Units with 7 specific Battle Units for each Faction. As you can see below, we plan to develop close to 300 Battle Units and Spells on release. This is 3X the amount of new content that you will enjoy that is above the original feature set of the Kickstarter. With 3X the content, the interactions between all the Battle Units and Spells expand exponentially in terms of complexity, tuning, and bug testing.
To make our game even better and enjoyable, we added a few Critical Path Features (not reflected in the Kickstarter). This includes a new Crafting System, Quest System, Ranked Ladder modes, new Single Player mode (with short campaign), and MP player progression.
Ultimately, we want to deliver the BEST possible game to you. Even as we work tirelessly 16 hours a day, this game simply needs a lot of iteration to ensure our game's highly competitive, stable, and balanced. As a result, we feel pushing out our Closed Beta is the right decision because we only have one shot at making you love and enjoy our game.

Meta Design + Game Economy
Besides the intense work on game mechanics, battle unit, and spell design, we're also tackling the meta design + game economy.
Specifically, in the last month we've focused on Crafting design, Quest design, Rarity design, Rank Ladder design, Lobby design, user progression for SP/MP design, and Collection Management.
LYONAR:
- Military tactics (minions with strong health and area buffs)
- Zeal (minions that are truly badass while they are nearby your General)
- Retribution (effects that get better against enemies that have attacked you. Ever.)
SONGHAI
- Cloak & Dagger (abilities like backstab that do huge damage from behind)
- Spell Mastery (direct damage and unique ways to maximize spell casting efficiency)
- Guarded (minions that are badass on your opponent's turn)
ABYSSIAN
- Deathwatch (they care when anything dies, and reap wonderful rewards).
- Sacrifice (getting great second use out of your units to mess with opponents).
- Shadow Creep (creating spaces that damage your opponent; and get stronger as more Shadow Creep enters play).
VETRUVIAN
- Sapping (effects that take advantages away from opponents and give them to you).
- Token creation (lots of effects that create extra minions for you).
- Blasting (attacks that hit all forward enemies in the same row)

As usual, Glauber Kotaki's been creating some awesome in-game battle units.
The great news is we have FAR EXCEEDED the original 7 unique units per Faction now (from the original Kickstarter launch). We're getting close to around 25 units and spells for each Faction!
