"Yesterday we featured something about Climax Studio's "restructuring operations" to control the production process better and bring new blood into the company. For those of you who said "So what does that have to do with me?" this rumor may answer that question.
According to Kotaku insider information the "restructuring operations" is a nice way of spinning the company's "attempt to salvage the disastrous development of Silent Hill Origins for the PSP and keep it under Climax's umbrella."
Furthermore, Kotaku's mole claims the company made a big pile of management doo-doo that caused a major delay in the Silent Hill Origins engine development.
So what does that have to do with you? The game, according to the rumor, had been cut extensively to meet its deadline. The final product, which was planned as a robust PSP game that would take eight hours to complete, will feature a handful of smaller levels worth three to four hours of gameplay.
But this came off the netvine where the buzz sometimes end up as entirely true, completely false, or half-true, half-false. We'll keep you posted as soon as more verifiable details come our way."
Resumen: Viene a decir que a Climax, la desarrolladora del juego, le ha pillado el toro ya que han invertido mucho tiempo en la creación del motor gráfico. Como consecuencia acortarán los niveles del juego para ajustarse a la fecha de salida prevista, y pasará de durar unas 8h a durar unas 3 ó 4h.
Mi opinión personal: que se dejen de fechas y se preocupen por la calidad del juego. Que salga cuando tenga que salir, prefiero esperar más y que sea un juego genial a que lo saquen en la fecha prevista y sea una patata.
