Voorspoels and Dürr new at S04 Esports
Hans Christian Dürr and Mitch Voorspoels will further strengthen FC Schalke 04 Esports. Hans Christian Dürr as Head of Esports will be taking care of any operative matters regarding all topics esports. The 34 year old announced that he was parting ways with Splyce back in early September of this year. From now on Tim Reichert, Schalke’s former Head of Esports, will be in the superordinate position and responsible for the entire strategic section of the division.In addition, the position of Head Coach has gone through a change. From now on Mitch “Krepo” Voorspoels will be taking on the position of Head Coach and will prepare the team for the season in the European LCS. The 27 year old will return to esports after a significant break and will face the challenge of Head Coach after his successful career as caster.
Hans Christian Dürr states: “I am very honored and excited to be working alongside Tim Reichert in FC Schalke 04's esports division. As my first official act for Schalke, I am very happy to have signed Mitch 'Krepo' Voorspoels as our League of Legends Head Coach. Mitch will lead the charge in creating our 2018 roster as well as take care of player development. Additionally he will serve in an advisory role to the FC Schalke 04 Esports content team, putting his broadcasting experience to use. Together with Mitch, we are also looking to hire a strong League of Legends Strategic Coach who will represent the team on stage.”Schalke’s esports division will position itself more broadly. Moritz Beckers-Schwarz, Managing Director of the FC Schalke 04 Arena Management, about the new changes within in the esports division: “Hans Christian Dürr was our desired candidate for the job and will be an important part for the development within our esports division. He also will be responsible for the integration of further titles. Tim Reichert will manage the division superiorly as Chief Gaming Officer and will be dealing with the strategic approach.”
