#25 no digo en la beta , digo en la release
ComunicadoHello,
We would like to give you a reminder regarding our policy on client data modification. This is a part of our Terms of Service, which every players accepts when installing TERA:
9.4 The USER is not permitted to add elements to the online game software or change, delete or modify online game software elements into another form unless FROGSTER has given its explicit and written consent. The USER is especially not permitted to copy, remove or otherwise use graphical elements.
9.5 The USER is not authorized to modify, restructure, redevelop, decompile, disassemble, or try to decode the software source code by any other methods unless this information has been made available by FROGSTER. Excepted is when decompiling is essential to achieve interoperability with another software program and when information regarding software interoperability has been requested from FROGSTER. All related information provided by FROGSTER and information supplied for approved decompilation may only be used for the purposes set out here. The USER is not permitted to disclose this information to a third party or use it to create a new software product whose intended purpose would conflict with that of FROGSTER's software product. The USER is asked to direct their questions relating to interoperability to Technical Support: [email protected].
What does this mean for you? Simply put, you are not allowed to modify the client the data in any way, which includes (but not limited to):
Texture modifications
Language files modifications
Graphic settings (through the text/ini files of the game client)
Voice/Audio files
Please note that those infractions can result in a suspension of your game account. Additionally, any modification of the game client might affect the patching process and corrupt your installation.
Additionally, we would like to remind you that any kind of data mining (extraction of models/textures files) is prohibited.
Regards,
Anna

En resumen, establecen que las modificaciones del cliente no están permitdas. Es decir, no podemos modificar las texturas, los archivos de audio o los archivos de idioma.
Respuesta de AnnaHello,
Just for the sake of clarification, you won't get banned for changing a line in a .ini file. However, you must understand that there is a reason why we put this warning and why those options are not included within the game itself: as stated in the sticky, it can corrupt your game client and generate additional bugs.
We do not wish to "waste time" and turn this into a witch hunt. Our support and QA team already have their hands full. However, it is the wish of the developement studio to prevent user-made modification of the game client and this is why the rules have been clearly stated in the ToS which you have to accept when installing the game.
Regards,
Anna
Aclara que no tienes por qué ser baneado por editar un .ini.
No obstante, si algún día os quieren decir que estáis baneados por hacerlo, no podéis quejaros, porque esta en los ToS que habéis aceptado.
